Cash-out Math Without the Smoke
A compact method for separating stake, total return and gain so that a striking number does not blur the actual result.

The simple equation
For the editorial examples on this site, total return equals stake multiplied by the cash-out value. Gain above stake equals total return minus stake. A £5 stake leaving at 12.40× therefore returns £62 in total and produces a £57 gain above the initial £5.
If the round ends before cash-out, the return is £0 and the whole £5 stake is lost. Showing only successful examples would conceal the defining downside of the game.

Currency and rounding
Real products should explain supported currencies, minimum and maximum stakes, rounding rules and any maximum-win constraint. Those details can affect the amount credited even when the on-screen multiplier appears simple.
A guide should not transplant one operator’s conditions onto another. Rules belong to the specific product and jurisdiction in which play is offered.

Read a highlight backwards
Start with the amount returned, subtract the amount staked, then ask what failed rounds or prior deposits are omitted. One selected payout cannot describe a session, and one session cannot describe a game’s long-run return.
